Saba is a small island in the Netherlands Antilles. It consists largely of the extinct volcano Mount Scenery (888 m), the highest point of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. There are 1,300 inhabitants. Its major settlements include The Bottom and Windward side.
The five square mile island in the northeastern Caribbean, 28 miles south of St. Maarten is known for its rich, tropical natural beauty including a dense rainforest. The island has one road to its capital-The Bottom. Its terrain is very precipitous.
